Attractions

  • Besides the attractions of Krk, we would also like to mention some special features related to other places on the island.
    In Vrbnik (12 km away), there is the narrowest street in the world - Klančić. Klančić is only 43 cm wide at its narrowest point.
  • Opposite Punat (7 km), there is the islet of Košljun - a Franciscan monastery has been located there since 1447.
    You will also be enchanted by its nature - it is protected as a forest park, primarily due to the forest of centuries-old holm oaks, laurel trees, and the lush black ash forest.
  • Biserujka Cave (15 km) - an underground pearl of the island of Krk. Known since ancient times, the first written record of it dates back to 1834.
    The cave consists of three main halls - Cimpresna Hall, Bridge Hall, and Great Hall, as well as several hidden underground spaces.
    If you visit Biserujka in summer, you will enjoy a pleasant break from the summer heat. (Internal temperature: around 15°C, relative humidity: 95%)
  • Jurandvor (24 km) - the Baška Tablet was found here, which is now preserved in the hall of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb, while a copy of it is located in the Church of St. Lucy in Jurandvor.
    The Baška Tablet is carved in Glagolitic script on white limestone, and it mentions the name of a Croatian ruler in Croatian for the first time.
